Product Details

GLAS.t is made to protect the LCD from damage and scratches with specially processed glass that has been reinforced to increase shock absorbency. Use the best protection and best clarity to keep your new iPad's retina display stunning. Steinheil GLAS.t is made to protect the LCD from damage and scratches with specially processed glass that has been reinforced to increase shock absorbency. The entire surface is also transparent. When installed, there are no gaps between the LCD and GLAS.t, which means the touch screen's sensitivity is unaffected. To prevent any excess force from coming in contact with the edges of the screen protector we highly recommend that a case is used with the GLAS.t.

Whole Transparency

GLAS.t is 0.4mm thick and made with chemically treated, transparent tempered glass.

Surface hardness : 8~9H

The surface of GLAS.t has a hardness of 8-9H, three times stronger than regular PET film. Even sharp objects such as knives and keys will not scratch the GLAS.t.

Oleophobic Coating

The GLAS.t has an oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints and other contaminants and makes the film easy to clean.

Delicate Touch

The GLAS.t is coated on the back with a strong silicon adhesive that makes installation easy and attaches the film firmly so as to not affect the touch screen's sensitivity.

Anti-Shatter Film

If broken, GLAS.t breaks into small pieces that are not sharp, making it safer than other glass products.

* As this is a glass product, please note that the edges of the glass are the most vulnerable areas. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t to avoid chipping or cracking the edges of your GLAS.t.
* When removing for re-use, the adhesive properties might wear off to an extent where the screen protector will not adhere to the device. It is not recommended to reuse the GLAS.t once it's been applied. * Using excessive force when installing or removing the screen protector may damage the product.
* No Refund & No Exchange if seal is broken or removed.

Q. How do I install the GLAS.t?

A. Use the provided alcohol swab to clean your iPad. The tab labeled "Back 2" is the protective film that covers the adhesive (sticky) side of the screen protector. The tab labeled "Front 1" is the protective film that covers the front of the GLAS.t. Remove the Back tab and apply the screen protector to the iPad screen aligning with the cutouts. Squeegee any bubbles and then remove the Front tab when finished. The GLAS.t is a one-shot install. This means that once the screen protector is applied completely to the iPad, it cannot be removed and reapplied. Make sure the GLAS.t is centered before laying down the GLAS.t. The GLAS.t is 0.4 mm thick and will recess the home button. For easy access to the home button, please apply the home button stickers provided with your GLAS.t package. If there are air bubbles after installment, please use the squeegee to start pushing outwards from the middle of the screen. Small air bubbles will disappear after 1-2 days.

When applying or removing the product, using unnecessary force may damage the product.

Q. What happens if I mess up on the installation or something goes wrong with my GLAS.t?

A. You do not have to worry! Your GLAS.t is protected by our GLAS.t Low-Cost Replacement Program. Simply return the GLAS.t product back to us with the replacement form filled out completely. You can find the form here: www.spigen.com/need1more

Q. How do I remove the GLAS.t?

A. The GLAS.t can be removed by using a hard card like an ID or credit card. Lift the GLAS.t with the card from any corner of the screen protector. Once the corner has been lifted off the iPad, hold the corner and remove slowly. If the GLAS.t cracks, it will not shatter. The GLAS.t will not damage or leave residue on your iPad screen.

When applying or removing the product, using unnecessary force may damage the product.

Q. Is the Glas.t a dry installation?

A. Yes. The phone screen should be completely dry when installing the GLAS.t. When you use the alcohol swab to clean the surface of your device, please leave it to completely dry before installing the GLAS.t. If the surface is not dry, then it can affect the adhesive silicone and cause it to not adhere to the screen and/or create air bubbles resulting from the wet installation.

Q. Is there anything I should take caution of when using the GLAS.t?

A. The GLAS.t is a product made of glass. While it is tempered to shatter within the film when dropped, there are some things that need to be aware of when using the GLAS.t. As with most glass products, the edges of the GLAS.t is the most vulnerable areas on the screen protector. This means the edges are the most likely to chip or crack when pressure or force is applied to it. If you see that the edges have chipped or have cracks, please remove the GLAS.t from your device as this can be potentially harmful. Please take care that your device is not accessible to children if your GLAS.t begins to crack.
We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t screen protector to avoid chipping along the edges.

Q. Can I return the GLAS.t?

A. Once the blue seal is broken from the casing, it is not elligible for any returns. However, if there are any issues, please send a photo to our Warranty Department for a defect review. Once it is approved they will continue assisting you with your GLAS.t.

Q. What if I had more questions about the product?

A. Not a problem, just contact our Product Development Customer Support team on HelpDesk! www.spigen.com/contacts

Update..On an awesome product Review by Ajtrek

Purchased mine in early December of 2012. It's like nothing is there . Complete motion without any drag. Absolutely without a doubt the best protection you can get for your iPad screen. I've decided to up all rating categories to 5 Stars! It may be a bit pricey but if you install it correctly (see review by Bob O) you shouldn't have to purchase another for as long as you own your iPad. I highly recommend this product.

OK Houston We Have a Problem Review by dexoticaqua

I would seriously not recommend this product. At first it seemed like everything was going to be fine. I watched the video, followed the instructions and it went on without a problem but, I notice two small bubbles that would not go away(they should go away is what was advertised). But that never happened. Then after about a week I noticed that the Glas was starting to loose adhesion in several areas around the edge. Now.....If I was a person who was hard on things I would not be so readily appt to complain but I'm the guy that takes care of everything(as a matter of fact when I was a kid my mother would give us all the same things and I was always the one for whom the item stayed new)

Here's my problem, when you consider the cost of this item($70), it really should work without any problems(it did on my iPhone 5 and I'm pleased as can be) and should come with some sort of guarantee that it's going to(not this whole, luck of the draw).

So I would recommend the iPhone 5 Glas protection because of the lower cost but the iPad 3 or 4, well.... let's just say at nearly $100 dollars a pop, I just will not be doing this again.

Another great purchase Review by Dwayne

I have the GLAS.TR for my iPhone 5 and love it. I waited for the new 128GB iPad to come out and purchased this. Like my phone I love this screen protector. I've tried multiple other products on previous iPads and iPods and have been miserable. They have that awful rubbery feel to them. This because it is real glass feels natural almost better than the original glass feels. As long as Spigen makes products for devices I buy I will look no where else.
Thank you once again for a great product and easy purchase.
DS.

Best screen protector out there Review by Chris

I was kind of hesitant to pay this price for a screen protector, but i took a chance and I love this thing. Easy to install, just be sure you follow the directions on cleaning your hands and make sure that you check for any lint or dirt on the screen before you apply it because you only have one shot at applying this. Its very clear and doesnt take away from the Retina Display at all in my opinion. If it wasnt so expensive, i would buy another for the wife, but she isnt as particular as i am and is happy with her current screen protector.

Seriously and incredibly awesome... Review by Thebirdwhoflew

I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I thought to myself that this time I owe it not only to Spigen for creating an absolutely wonderful product but to Bob O for giving me the extra umph I needed to get up the courage to buy this protector. You see I live in Europe and I wasn't able to find this protector anywhere but on the Spigen site. As we all know the cost of this thing is up there... Add in the cost of shipping to Europe (25$) and then factor in the 30€ those bums at customs tacked on and well, you get the picture. The kid paid some serious moolah for this protector... I had already purchased the Glas t R for my iPhone 5 and was totally amazed. I suffer a bit from OCD and was constantly wiping my screen. I'd purchased one of those plastic floppy things for it at first and it was total poo pooh. Mind you it wasn't one of Spigen's but I can't imagine that they are any different being all made of the same material. Either way getting back to the Glas t, I already new that it was going to deliver on the amount of protection it provides and the look and feel of it on my device. I may be a bit crazy saying this but I would swear that it has almost enhanced the sensitivity of my iPad! So anyways, I knew the big challenge was going to be installation and being that you only get one shot, I was sort of crapping my pants . But Bob O hit the nail on the head... I did exactly as he said. Ran the shower and steamed up the bathroom, waited of course for the steam to go away and there was little if any dust flying around. Then I placed the protector on my iPad, lined it up perfectly and placed tape as hinges on the left side. Then I took another piece of tape and placed it perfectly in the middle of the right hand side and cut a little piece of paper to stick to the tape, so as to use it as a tab without having to fight with the tape sticking to my fingers. Once I knew the protector was perfectly lined up because there was no mistaking, I flipped back the protector still with its plastics adhesive covers on, so that I could give the iPad the alcohol swab down. I wiped the alcohol dry with the little microfiber cloth that comes with the Glas.t, took a good look to make sure there was no dust, peeled off the plastic adhesive cover exposing the silicon adhesive, farted and then I pulled the Glas.t over and in place. It all lined up perfectly, so I pressed the center of the glass like you're supposed to an watched the magic take place. Expect air bubbles and don't panic! They will squeegee out and you will end up with PERFECTION! Thank you Spigen and thank you Bob! Now excuse me because I have to go to the bathroom and admire my iPad... ; )
