Steinheil GLAS.t is made to protect the LCD from damage and scratches with specially processed glass that has been reinforced to increase shock absorbency. The entire surface of the GLAS.t is also transparent. When installed, there are no gaps between the LCD and the GLAS.t which means the touch screen's sensitivity is unaffected. To prevent any excess force from coming in contact with the edges of the screen protector we highly recommend that a case is used with the GLAS.t.
- Whole Transparency : GLAS.t is 0.4mm thick and made with chemically treated, transparent tempered glass.
- Surface hardness : 8~9H : The surface of the GLAS.t has a hardness of 8-9H, three times stronger than regular PET film. Even sharp objects such as knives and keys will not scratch the GLAS.t.
- Oleophobic Coating : The GLAS.t has an oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints and other contaminants and makes the film easy to clean.
- Delicate Touch : The GLAS.t is coated on the back with a strong silicon adhesive that makes installation easy and attaches the film firmly so as to not affect the touch screen's sensitivity.
- Anti-Shatter Film : If broken, the GLAS.t breaks into small pieces that are not sharp, making it safer than other glass products.
CAUTION
*As this is a glass product, please note that the edges of the glass are the most vulnerable areas. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t to avoid chipping or cracking the edges of your GLAS.t.
* When removing for re-use, the adhesive properties might wear off to an extent where the screen protector will not adhere to the device. It is not recommended to reuse the GLAS.t once it's been applied. *Using excessive force when installing or removing the screen protector may damage the product.
Q. Does the GLAS.t work for iPhone 4/4S?
A. No, I am sorry but our iPhone 5 GLAS.t is designed only for the iPhone 5.
Q. How do I install the GLAS.t?
A. Use the provided alcohol swab to clean your iPhone 5 and make sure that the surface is completely dry and clean afterwards. The tab labeled "Back" is the protective film that covers the adhesive (sticky) side of the screen protector. The tab labeled "Front" is the protective film that covers the front of the GLAS.t. Remove the Back tab and apply the screen protector to the iPhone 5 screen aligning with the cutouts. Squeegee any bubbles and then remove the Front tab when finished. The GLAS.t is a one-shot install. This means that once the screen protector is applied completely to the iPhone, it cannot be removed and reapplied. Make sure the GLAS.t is centered before laying down the GLAS.t. The GLAS.t is 0.4 mm thick and will recess the home button. For easy access to the home button, please apply the home button stickers provided with your GLAS.t package.
Q. What happens if I mess up on the installation or something goes wrong with my GLAS.t?

Q. How do I remove the GLAS.t?
A. The GLAS.t can be removed by using a hard card like an ID or credit card. Lift the GLAS.t with the card from any corner of the screen protector. Once the corner has been lifted off the iPhone, hold the corner and remove slowly. If the GLAS.t cracks, it will not shatter. The GLAS.t will not damage or leave residue on your iPhone screen.
Q. What cases will work with the GLAS.t?
A. All of our SPIGEN SGP iPhone 5 cases will work with the GLAS.t. For other brands, some slider cases may not work with the GLAS.t. The GLAS.t is 0.4 mm thick so if you have any doubts, please contact the case manufacturer.
Q. Is there anything I should take caution of when using the GLAS.t?
A. The GLAS.t is a product made of glass. While it is tempered to shatter within the film when dropped, there are some things that you need to be aware of when using the GLAS.t. As with most glass products, the edges of the GLAS.t are the most vulnerable areas on the screen protector. This means the edges are the most likely to chip or crack when pressure or force is applied to it. If you see that the edges have chipped or have cracks, please remove the GLAS.t from your device as this can be potentially harmful. Please take care that your device is not accessible to children if your GLAS.t begins to crack. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t screen protector to avoid chipping along the edges. Also we would recommend using a case to protect the edges against any unwanted lifting.

I’m a huge fan of Spigen’s GLAS.t screen protectors, and I haven’t changed my mind with the iPhone 5. More than any other iPhone, the iPhone 5 as designed to be used without a case, and the GLAS.t screen protector allows you to do so conscientiously without worrying about the screen.
Any notions of glass being fragile disappear when you see the tempered version... We set it over our iPhone screen and found the phone to be as touch-responsive as the naked screen itself.
If your priority is to maintain the shiny perfection of the screen and keep it unsullied by fingerprints, the SGP iPhone 5 Glas.t screen protector at [$27.99] may be just the thing.
It’s simply too good. The fit, feel and appearance all handedly exceed any plastic screen protector/film hands down. If the best of the best is what you seek, the Glas.t is your only option.
It's brilliantly transparent, touch screen sensitivity isn't affected in the slightest and it adds amazing protection. A very strong offering to the market, at a great price point.
Most screen protectors are just a thin layer of flexible plastic that do an adequate job at shrugging off scratches. But they're nowhere near as tough as Spigen's new GLAS.t which adds another layer of glass for maximum protection.
I especially like the fitting method. Slide the protector into place, press the center and the adhesive creeps betwixt screen and cover all by itself.

Quality Design Value This thing saved my screen, not just once. But be sure you have good case or body protector along with it so the phone/screen edge won't get hit at the first time. My phone survived dog bites, in a pocket with metal keys, and concrete floor (and even I've tried to throw my phone against wall) without noticeable scratch. I replaced GLAS.t with GLAS.tR after I dropped my phone on concrete on it's edge. The screen protector edge chipped instead of my screen.
However, the oleophobic coating somehow looks like gone after around 3-4 months of usage.(Posted on 4/16/13)

Quality Design Value This is an amazing product. I never liked screen protectors but have always had to use them so I don't scratch my screen. I heard of this product and did my homework on it; read a lot of different reviews and watched a lot of youtube videos. I couldn't be anymore happy with it.
First off, according to some reviews and videos, there are some stipulations with the thickness of the glas.t. I can honestly say it doesn't add much to the Iphone 5 at all. This is probably because the Iphone 5 is so skinny to begin with.
Secondly, there's is issues with some cases not fitting when the glas.t is on. Me personally, I was a little skeptical with this to at first because I switch off from 5 different cases. I have a simple slim black rubber case that it fits no problem, a chrome designer case that it fits no problem, obviously the Spigen Linear Ex Metal Slim Case fits it no problem, the Otterbox Commuter Case fits it with no problem, and my biggest concern was if it would fit with my Lifeproof case. With the Lifeproof case, I know they say you don't need a screen protector let alone a screenshield and the glas.t would void the warranty, but I noticed that all it does is it seems fill the little gap between the phone and the Lifeproof built-in screen protector (a small problem Lifeproof is known for) and it just made closing it a little tighter. It still works and I put it in water already. If you have a Lifeproof case and use it on an everyday basis, I would recommend changing out your seal in half the time they recommend you do it regularly.(But I am not Lifeproof certified, do at your own risk)
Third, some were saying that it's not glass, it's plastic and scratches easily. They must not know what tempered glass is; if you don't either wikipedia it that'll explain everything. For the scratches, I dunno, I personally use my phone just as much if not more than your everyday user and I have no problem with scratches.
As for the installation, it was actually a lot easier than I thought it was gonna be. Just take your time! Mine took me about 25min. to put on. After watching endless install videos on youtube, I chose bits and pieces from each. All of the corners went down smooth but along the sides there were a couple tiny bubbles that I didn't use the applicator card on and I just put a little elbow grease into it; I squeezed it down (pinching and rubbing my phone with my thumb and fore finger, to each their own though, this way worked for me) but it installed absolutely perfect with not one bubble or any piece of lint.
I would definitely recommend this screen protector and I will never go back to using the floppy plastic screen protectors ever again. Great job Spigen!!!

Quality Design Value I bought this product (iPhone 5 Screen Protector GLAS.tR Premium Tempered Glass). Yhe application was very easy and it looks amazing. BUT IT DOESN'T LAST! I dropped my phone once and the screen shatters on the edges, and breaks into little pieces. Accidents happen and we all drop our phones, but if the screen protector was more durable to falls it would be an amazing product.
Additionally, this new Replacement Policy is full of garbage. It is such a headache to get the coupon code. You have to send in the screen protector first and once they receive it they will send you the coupon code. This is a huge headache being a international customer. I live in Canada so there is no reseller here to purchase it from. I would recommend them implementing a replacement program like Apple or Zagg does for its Invisible Shield. Basically, they pre-authorize on your credit card the cost of the screen protector and they send you the new protector with pre-paid shipping labels so you don't scratch up your screen during this whole process Spigen currently has in place. And if they do not receive your old product back within 60 days of making your replacement request, the card you provided will be charged the full retail price of the replacement. Honestly, if your screen protector just shattered go buy some other protector then trying to replace it, because it is very costly and time consuming, at least for international customers.
I am very disappointed in their Replacement Program and the durability of the product.

Value Quality Design A friend of mine reviewed the glass.t and i could not believe what i saw. It took him putting a drill bit through it to get it to break. When i saw it packaged on the website with a slim armor case for a fraction of what they would be if purchased separately, I jumped at the chance.
I have had the product installed for about a week now and have no complaints. installation was a breeze (my first install and it came out PERFECT) and the product just simply looks amazing.
