Design Value Quality It's a good product but i wish there were more brief description of each type of film. It takes me some time to understand the product and choose what I need the most. (Posted on 4/21/12)

Ultra Optics is good but could be better. Review by 93360
Quality Design Value The Steinheil Ultra Optics screen protector significantly reduces screen smudge from finger prints without obscuring the crispness of the phone's display. It's not 100% anti-fingerprint however it should reduce the number of times you'd have to clean the screen with a lint-free cloth.
Cut-outs for the speaker and the camera are just about right however the length of the film is a bit odd. While the border gap to the side edges of the glass screen are about 1mm, this increases to about 2mm on the top and bottom of the phone's edge. The explanation given as to why they are "designed smaller size than actual device screen size due to Design of the Curved screen" seems a bit counter intuitive and results in a slightly odd looking fit.
Application onto a super clean/dust-free screen is a breeze and takes only a few seconds. Although I also received an Ultra Oleophobic screen protector with my Ultra Matte body protector set, I will not be using it as I feel the Ultra Optics should have been included instead for a complete anti-fingerprint solution for my phone.

| A) | All of our screen protectors are Japanese made, enhanced optical hard films. Ultra Crystal and Ultra Oleophobic screen protectors are both clear type where it absolutely doesn't affect the screen image quality. Ultra Crystal has glass-like surface coating with the best resistance against scratches. Ultra Oleophobic has an oil resistant coating to resist oil and other contaminants. Ultra Fine screen protector is matte type hard film which resists against fingerprints and smudges, but it is less clear compared to other Steinheil screen protectors. Ultra Optics is our newest product which is anti-fingerprint and anti-glare and does not interfere with retina display. | |
