- Product Details
GLAS.tR SLIM is now 28% thinner and lighter. The R in GLAS.tR SLIM stands for the rounded edges of the screen protector. This change is designed to help deflect shock and cracks from everyday bumps and drops.
- Surface hardness 8~9H : The surface of the glass protector has a hardness three times stronger than regular PET film. Even shard objects such as knives and keys will not scratch the GLAS.tR SLIM.
- Oleophobic Coating : The GLAS.tR SLIM has an oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints and other contaminants and makes the film easy to clean.
- Anti-Shatter Film : If broken, the GLAS.tR SLIM breaks into small pieces that are not sharp, making it safer than other glass product
* When removing for re-use, the adhesive properties might wear off to an extent where the screen protector will not adhere to the device. It is not recommended to reuse the GLAS.tR SLIM once it's been applied.
* Using excessive force when installing or removing the screen protector may damage the product.
Q. How much slimmer is the GLAS.tR Slim from the GLAS.tR?
A. The GLAS.tR Slim has a thickness of 0.4mm and the original iPhone 5 GLAS.t has a thickness of 0.55mm.
Q. What kind of back screen protector does the GLAS.tR Slim include?
A. The back screen protector is our standard back screen protector that is included in most of our cases and GLAS.tR products. There will be three pieces, the top and bottom will be our best selling Ultra Crystal and the middle portion will be our Ultra Fine to mimic the velvety aluminum feel of the original iPhone 5 device. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any customizations for the back screen protector at this time.
Q. How do I install the GLAS.tR Slim?
A. Use the provided alcohol swab to clean your iPhone 5 and make sure that the surface is completely dry and clean afterwards. The tab labeled "Back" is the protective film that covers the adhesive (sticky) side of the screen protector. The tab labeled "Front" is the protective film that covers the front of the GLAS.t. Remove the Back tab and apply the screen protector to the iPhone 5 screen aligning with the cutouts. Squeegee any bubbles and then remove the Front tab when finished. The GLAS.t is a one-shot install. This means that once the screen protector is applied completely to the iPhone, it cannot be removed and reapplied. Make sure the GLAS.t is centered before laying down the GLAS.t.
Q. What happens if I mess up on the installation or something goes wrong with my GLAS.tR?
A. You do not have to worry! Your GLAS.t is protected by our GLAS.t Low-Cost Replacement Program. Simply return the GLAS.t product back to us with the replacement form filled out completely. You can find the form here: www.spigen.com/need1more
Q. How do I remove the GLAS.tR Slim?
A. The GLAS.t can be removed by using a hard card like an ID, credit card, or even your fingers. Lift the GLAS.t with the card from any corner of the screen protector. Once the corner has been lifted off the iPhone, hold the corner and remove slowly. If the GLAS.t cracks, it will not shatter. The GLAS.t will not damage or leave residue on your iPhone screen.
Q. What cases will work with the GLAS.tR Slim?
A. Most of our SPIGEN SGP iPhone 5 cases will work with the GLAS.tR, unless if it is otherwise noted. For other brands, some slider cases may not work with the GLAS.t. The GLAS.t is 0.4 mm thick so if you have any doubts, please contact the case manufacturer.
Q. Is there anything I should take caution of when using the GLAS.t?
A. The GLAS.t is made from real glass. While it is tempered to shatter within the film when dropped, there are some things that you need to be aware of when using the GLAS.t. As with most glass products, the edges of the GLAS.t are the most vulnerable areas on the screen protector. This means the edges are the most likely to chip or crack when pressure or force is applied to it. If you see that the edges have chipped or have cracks, please remove the GLAS.t from your device as this can be potentially harmful. Please take care that your device is not accessible to children if your GLAS.t begins to crack. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t screen protector to avoid chipping along the edges. Also we would recommend using a case to protect the edges against any unwanted lifting.
Q. What if I have more questions about the product?
A. Not a problem! Please contact our Product Development Customer Support team on Helpdesk! www.spigen.com/contacts

This is the best screen protector in the market right now ! Don't get fooled with spigen's glas.tr nano slim because it's horrible I had one and it just chipped and had plenty of scratches right away. When I changed to this screen protector I was really happy and regretted buying the glas.tr nano slim. So far no scratches at all and it's not that thin like the glastr nano slim but it's worth the price if you buy the glastr nano slim your just wasting your money for a more expensive product .

This protector feels awesome to the touch. I managed to get it perfectly centered, but unfortunately 1 speck of dust was caught underneath when I applied. It does make a fairly significant aureole type mark- now I have a "nipple" on my screen :-D. BUT, I'm going to live with it, and if it proves to drive me crazy, i will remove it and buy another- And try again. Its worth it!!! Really awesome !!

- Takes a trick to install cleanly Review by Josh
Design Value Quality
I have installed two of these now (on the same phone). The first time around I ended up with three air bubbles that wouldn't go away. When I removed the protector I saw small dust particles under each bubble - that was the reason they never went away. So I sent it back to Spigen and they are sending me a new one.
In the meantime, I bought one off Amazon (much cheaper) since I had not heard from Spigen and wanted to protect the screen. The second time around I used a can of air and some clear packing tape. After cleaning the phone and blasting it with air, I peeled off the backing on the protector. Since it immediately attracts dust, I blasted it with air, then took the 2 1/2" wide packing tape and stuck it onto the adhesive surface. I pulled it off immediately, taking a lot of dust with it. Then without delay, since this thing attracts dust like bees to honey, I installed it. Only one problematic bubble this time caused by a dust particle and I can live with that.

After buying a different brand that after installation had sections that didn't adhere properly. I decided to buy the Spigen. I had not problem installing it and my iPhone screen is beautiful. It deserves five stars for every criteria.
