Product Review (submitted on September 27, 2013):
Overall a decent product, so I don't feel ripped off, but I was expecting more based on the amount of glowing reviews and my previous experience with competitor's products. Since the front and back pieces are fairly different in terms of application I will share my thoughts on each piece individually.
The back is the somewhat stretchy material that I was first exposed to with Zagg InvisibleShield, and the Spigen one definitely a higher quality than that was. That being said, I didn't find the cut-outs perfectly matched to my iPad mini. I couldn't get the circle cutout for the camera to be acceptably concentric around the camera lens without the bottom edge being too far down and starting to overlap the edge of the edge of the lightning connector port. All the other tolerances aren't a big deal for me, but the offset circle in a circle that I couldn't avoid doesn't look great. Also, having installed these films 6 or 7 times on a variety of devices (iPhones and iPads), I found the installation of this one to be of the more difficult and consequently one of the poorer results. I suspect having installing the way I have learned over time would have produced better results than following Spigen's directions, as I tried to do.
As for the front piece, I found the installation pretty easy, though the alignment wasn't as nice as I would have liked since you have to put one end down and hope the other end lines up perfectly. And I didn't feel like I could really adjust it once I laid it down. My biggest complaint about the front piece is the texture/feel. It's difficult to describe but it was a weird grippy-ness when you drag your finger over it that I don't really like. It smoothed out some as the oils from my fingers covered it, but I prefer the texture of the back material.
